With it's vibrant, and old-world atmosphere, it's not surprising that the family owned and operated Costello's Travel Caffé has become a neighborhood favorite and destination within the Portland area. While the unique environment is warm, inviting, and full of character, it's the great food and attentive service that has earned the loyalty of Costello's customers for over 10 years.
Costello's European-inspired menu includes breakfast, lunch, dessert and everywhere in between. Each morning offers a selection of sweet Belgian Waffles, Omelettes & Scrambles, and savory slices of quiche. Costello's famous scones and morning pastries are as good as ever, and include gluten-free and vegan options that rotate seasonally; while more substantial offerings, such as a croissant breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, have been known to cure the common hangover. Caffé Umbria coffee is brewed throughout the day as experienced baristas turn out an assortment of handcrafted espresso drinks. Lunch features a range of fresh salads, homemade soups made daily, and the ever-popular grilled panini. A full beer and wine list along with a number of tempting seasonal homemade desserts including pies and cakes round out the menu, and much more!
A visit to Costello's Travel Caffé can be reminiscent of a colorful European café. The theme of world travel is represented throughout the decor, most notably a pair of wood-framed flat screens. These screens artfully display filmed views from select cities and destinations around the world and were shot and edited by Costello's Travel Caffe for your viewing pleasure. The archive includes over 15 years of footage from over 20 countries and growing. A typical visit to Costello's could entail scenes from places like the markets of Budapest, streets of Beijing or even the canals of Barcelona. Each view is often accompanied by the natural sounds and international music, adding to the ambience and realism.
Open seven days a week, Costello's serves up a welcomed escape from the doldrums of daily life.
